Single-subject Certificate
ACP Single-Subject Examinations…
Subject to ACP's moderation and approval of a centre's own training and assessment material, vocational qualification certificates will be awarded by the Association for proficiency in any computer allied subject or software package.
Subjects such as:
- Word-processing
- Computer Literacy
- Spreadsheets
- Database Software
- Operating Systems
ACP Single-Subject certificates in specific programming languages, will not be awarded unless the candidate has previously sat for the three written examinations and project element of the ACP Certificate in Information Technology & Programming. For example, a student who has successfully passed ACP's Certificate
'Applied Programming' paper, using one high level language, may sit a Single-Subject Certificate examination using another language.
The Single-Subject Awards do not exempt students from any part of ACP's professional Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma examinations.
ACP centres also offer a wide range of vocational awards
(sometimes referred to as Single-Subject Awards), in subjects such as Java, FoxPro and Web Design. Students attending these short courses are not required to become Student Members of the Association and the only fee payable to ACP is for the final assessment examination.
